PUBG Mobile 2.6 Beta Version Update: What’s new and how to download

Find out what lies in store for PUBG Mobile's future update!

PUBG Mobile, ever since it was first released by Tencent Games a couple of years ago, has been regularly bringing updates into the game, in order to keep the feeling of having something new to try when the players log into the game and keep them engaged for the better part. The same updates are always preceded by beta versions, and this time it is no different. Read further to learn more about the 2.6 beta Version Update in PUBG Mobile.

PUBG Mobile Beta Version 2.6 Update brings brand-new features

The upcoming 2.6 update of PUBG Mobile, that is, the one whose beta servers are currently live, will feature a dinosaur-themed mode with lots of dinosaur-related activities to go with it in the game. This will not only please the numerous Jurassic-era enthusiasts who are bound to be playing PUBG Mobile, but others as well, due to the simplistic yet fun characteristics of this mode. Without further ado, let us get into the finer details.

1. Dino Settlements

The newest game mode in PUBG Mobile will see the arrival of Dino Settlements on the map of Erangel. There will be three Dino Settlements randomly spawned on the map every time a new game is started, and they will be there for more than just cosmetic purposes. The site will have high-level loot, as well as airdrop-exclusive guns that can be obtained by breaking open certain objects that will reveal the said items.

After a certain duration of the match is complete, a Tyrannosaurus Rex, without a doubt, the most famed of all the Jurassic organisms, will be spawned in one of the Settlement’s Fossil Keeps. The players will be able to hitch themselves a ride by destroying the gate of the particular Keep. The T. Rex will be able to accommodate up to 4 players and traverse across all waterbodies as well. Although, it should be noted that it cannot cross over the bridge.

2. Primal Zone

Besides the three main Settlements that have the potential to house a T. Rex, there will also be several other areas housing two other Jurassic beasts, the Velociraptor and the Pterosaur that will be scattered all over the Primal Zone. Like the T. Rex, one will also be able to ride the other two dinos, except that they will only be able to accommodate one player at once. There will also be Dino minigames that will involve some Dino “athletics”.

The Pterosaur will take you to the skies in a way similar to the glider, except that it has a far more responsive and easier control system. Not only that, but you will also be able to scoop players, both friendly and hostile into the sky with the dino claws.

3. Full-auto mod attachment

The wait is now over for all those who have been wanting to try out at least once what it feels like to fire the two burst-fire ARs, the M16A4 and the MK47-Mutant in a fully automatic mode. Players will now finally be able to do so by equipping the said guns with the full-auto mod attachment found in the matches. This will unlock the full potential of those guns and make them a much more viable choice of firearm.

4. Companion spectating mode

In this mode, the players will be able to shift to the perspective of their respective companions in the game, if they have any. They will be able to spectate the match from the POV of the mentioned companion and will also be able to perform some companion exclusive emotes as well.

Final Thoughts

PUBG Mobile, as we have mentioned before, actively tries to retain the element of finding new things to do in the game, and adding new events with each passing season is just a testament to that. Thus, the Dino-themed mode is one of those too and we hope that it turns out to be as fun as it sounds like it is!
