The popular anime television series Black Lagoon has announced its collaboration with PUBG Mobile to bring exclusive in-game-themed skins and events, limited to Japan. Tencent’s Lightspeed and Quantum Studios have revealed about the next collaboration event with PUBG Mobile Japan. This latest update will introduce exclusive themed items and events, based on one of anime’s most acclaimed franchises.
PUBG Mobile Japan x Black Lagoon collaboration
According to PUBG Mobile Japan’s official website, players can start preparing to experience the crime and thriller anime series Black Lagoon make its way into the game. Like the previous PUBG Mobile collaboration with the K-pop Group Blackpink, the update will include exclusive events skins that will be “stylish and bold” meeting the concept of noir iconography of the original manga material.
The developers and the sites have provided very minimal information regarding the update. The “Coming Soon” in the cover builds more curiosity and makes it more suspenseful. The collaboration looks to be strictly exclusive to the Japanese version of PUBG Mobile. The details of the upcoming update are only provided on the PUBG Mobile Japan site and not any other region’s site.
Lightspeed has confirmed that the fans of Black Lagoon and the players can expect the collaboration event to release around March 2022. In short, with minimal information provided in the sites, the players can only wait for the update and look forward to the potential announcement regarding the crossover.
Black Lagoon: Overview
Black Lagoon is an anime series adapted from the titular manga series by Rei Hiroe. It consists of two seasons directed by Sunao Katabuchi and produced by Madhouse, for television, and one in original video animation format. The series follows the adventures of Rokuro “Rock” Okajima, a Japanese businessman who is abducted by, and eventually joins a group of outlaws known as the “Lagoon Company”.
