- mo.co's massive neo revamp officially launches as an update on May 21, 2026.
- Neo update adds seasonal progression, Score Hunt mode, and fully reworked faster combat.
- New weapons, P.E.R.K.S gacha system, and Upgrade Cores are also part of the update.
After weeks of teasers and hints about neo mo.co, Supercell has finally fully revealed what’s coming next for the monster-hunting game. While I was wrong about the version update coming on May 19th, well, the full reveal happened on the same day, confirming that mo.co officially enters its new era on May 21, 2026.
The update is not just a content patch either. mo.co is being rebuilt around seasonal progression, faster combat, new game modes, weapons, customization systems, and a complete progression reset. So here’s everything you need to know about the new update.
All you need to know about the mo.co neo update
All changes to old version
So, the most important info about this new revamp is that everyone starts fresh again. Your Hunter Level resets back to Level 1 as mo.co moves away from Chapters and into a seasonal structure. Elite Hunter Levels, gear, projects, and old progression systems are also being removed or replaced.
At the same time, you are not losing everything. All cosmetics, currencies, Collector Levels, titles, outfits, emotes, and weapon skins remain on your account. Weapon skins become usable again once you unlock the matching weapon in the new system.

Supercell is also giving Revamp Rewards based on your old account progress. If you were an Elite player before the reset, you’ll receive exclusive cosmetic rewards, including special outfits, headgear, rides, and titles depending on your cumulative Elite Hunter Level.
Maintenance for the update starts on Wednesday and lasts for 24 hours, while mo.co’s first official season begins on Thursday, that is, May 21st.

Weapon Sprints and P.E.R.K.S gacha system
The game now runs on a one-month seasonal cycle built around Weapon Sprints. This acts as the new progression pass system. You hunt monsters and collect Chaos Energy to level up the pass and unlock rewards. Completing one Weapon Sprint unlocks the next weapon path.
Older weapons from previous seasons are not disappearing either. They move into the new P.E.R.K.S system, allowing you to obtain them later through the game’s new gacha mechanic. Through it, you can unlock weapons, outfits, cosmetics, and other seasonal rewards.

This system is also where older seasonal weapons move after their original Weapon Sprint ends. Alongside this comes Upgrade Cores, which act as weapon modifiers. These cores range from semi-charged to mega-charged versions and provide different upgrades and buffs depending on the build you create.
Reworked combat and new weapons
Combat is getting one of the biggest gameplay overhauls in the update, which the makers say is now designed to feel faster, more skill-based, and more engaging.
One such change is the removal of the red warning areas that previously showed incoming attacks. Monster animations have also been redesigned, making dodging and movement much more important during fights.

The update also introduces several new weapons with different playstyles as listed below.
| Weapon | Type/Category* | Overview |
|---|---|---|
| Speedshot | Bow | Weapon with slows, area damage, and self-healing abilities |
| Head Banger | Melee | Heavy weapon focused on smashing, dashing, shockwaves, and healing spins |
| Vibe Shifter | Hybrid/Support | Weapon with healing, damage attacks, spins, and pet flowers |
| Zapsicle | Electric | Weapon that electrifies enemies and spreads chain damage through dashes |
| Lava Shield | Shield | Lance and shield weapon with taunts, fire damage, blocking, and healing abilities |
| Techno Fists | Flexible | Weapon that switches between bouncing attacks, single-target damage, and healing |
| Venom Bow | P.E.R.K. | Weapon using venom arrows for extra damage, stuns, and healing |
*- all type of weapons haven’t been categorised officially at the time of writing and is just for your info
New Mode: Score Hunt
neo mo.co brings a new mode called Score Hunt, which will be a competitive mode. The mode is built around stacking points by defeating monsters while trying to survive elimination rounds. Your goal is to continuously hit score targets before getting knocked out.
Expeditions, Rifts, and Dojos explained
The update also expands the number of activities you can grind daily and weekly. Expeditions become your primary farming activity. These rotate with new maps and Projects every day and reward Chaos Energy used for seasonal progression.
Elite Contracts, also called Rifts, act as weekly challenge missions. Every Rift includes five objectives, and completing them rewards Elite Merits. These Merits increase your Hunter KPI, help you climb leaderboards, and unlock progress through the Elite Hunter Path.
Dojos are focused entirely on solo gameplay. Once unlocked through weapon progression, they let you challenge monsters alone for additional Merits and rewards.
