PUBG Mobile KR has been a great alternative to the PUBG Mobile Global version after it was banned in India in September 2020. The Korean regional adaptation of PUBG Mobile was published by Krafton and was restricted to Google Play Store and Apple Store of Korea and Japan only. A few hours back, PUBG Mobile Kr has posted an official update via Instagram, stating that the game’s functionality is set to ban users outside Korea and Japan. Along with it, it has also notified that there might be network issues for users out of Korea and Japan, and users will not be able to settle their payments as well.
- From May 1, 2021, users outside Korea and Japan, who log in with the Pubg Mobile Kr version are not able to settle the payment in KRJP build. That means you cannot purchase any UC further.
- From 2021/05/01, users out of Korea or Japan who log in with KRJP build account might find network troubles during the play. Probably you will receive high ping during the gameplay or might face difficulty signing in.
- From 2021/06/30, users out of Korea or Japan who log in with KRJP build account are not able to log in anymore. You will not be able to log in to your accounts permanently from then.
- For Users living in India, the top three changes will be put into effect from 2021/06/30 together.
These changes are being made to provide the players with the better service quality of the localised versions. It has nothing to do with inequality or discrimination. They are also encouraging players to use their local version or the global version. PUBG Mobile Japan has also posted an update on their website that states, “This application and this service can be used only from Japan and the Republic of Korea. We shall be able to determine your area of use by any method that we consider reasonable, such as your IP address.”
