PUBG Mobile has announced a brand new “Play for Green” campaign coming to the game. This campaign is part of the Green Game Jam 2024 organized by Playing For The Planet, as PUBG Mobile joins Outfit7, the creators of the Talking Tom & Friends as next to take part in the initiative.
PUBG Mobile Play for Green campaign brings the Ruins of Erangel map series with multiple in-game events
The talking points of the new campaign would be a new official map series, a brand new in-game event, multiple new challenges for you, and exclusive themed rewards to collect. The Ruins of Erangel map series in PUBG Mobile, created with help from University College London (UCL) Professor Mark Maslin, shows what the iconic Erangel map might look like after 100 years of climate change.
We will be able to get two maps in the series, namely Sandstorm and Exploration. While Sandstorm, as the name suggests, you’ll need to gather medical supplies and survive as a dangerous sandstorm closes in, Exploration offers a unique, narrative-driven experience with a powerful story about the impact of climate change.
Further, you can contribute to real-world environmental efforts with the in-game event Run for Green, scheduled from September 11th to September 24th, 2024. By participating, you will be able to help real-world environmental projects protect a total of over 350,000 sq meters of ecologically important land across Indonesia, Pakistan, and Brazil.
Through the World of Wonder Green Creative Contest running from September 12th to 25th, 2024, you can use climate-themed items to create new maps. It comes with a $12,500 prize pool. You can also take part in the Global Action Challenge from September 17th to 30th, 2024, where you can express your real-life environmental efforts on social media to win exclusive rewards.
If you would like to support PUBG Mobile even further, you can participate in the Play for Green campaign and vote for the game in the Green Game Jam’s Player’s Choice Awards here.
