PUBG Mobile: Reject crowned the champions of PMJL Season 3 Phase 1

Reject are the champions of Japan!

The PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 3 Phase 1 or the PMJL S3 Phase 1 concluded earlier today. Unsurprisingly, Japanese PUBG Mobile giants Reject was declared champions after a dominant gameplay show and controlled aggression in the ongoing PMJL Season 3 Phase 1. Being the second most valuable regional PUBG Mobile tournament in the world behind only China’s PEL, the tournament had high stakes with everyone determined to give their best.

PUBG Mobile PMJL Season 3 Phase 1: Overview

Reject, the most decorated team from the Asian continent, besides China, in terms of earnings from PUBG Mobile added yet another trophy to their cabinet followed by their utter show of dominance in the PMJL S3 Phase 1. During the 10 days of competition, Reject constantly stayed on top of their game and in touch with the top spot at the leaderboard before pulling away from their competitors.

While Reject looked all but set to win the trophy, the scuffle for the other podium spots and the rest became intense. Sengoku after an abysmal start to their campaign, pulled off an amazing recovery run and clawed their way up to the 2nd spot. Meanwhile, BC Swell, the other favourites of the PMJL, missed out on the top 3 and had to stay content with 4th place, quite a distance away from 3rd.

The 10 days really allowed the teams to show their calibre, with the results being more reflective of their overall strengths instead of shorter tournaments where luck plays a much bigger factor. Also, another testament to Reject’s overall domination as they are having almost 100 kills more than their next rival.

Prizepool and individual accolades

The champions Reject took home a massive amount of $104,478 which is larger than the total prizepool of most regional tournaments barring PEL. Sengoku Gaming who finished in 2nd place earned $52,239 while 3rd-placed Sunsister earned $34,826.

Reiji from the winning team of Reject had the honour of being both the overall MVP as well as being the player with the most frags, with his teammates SaRa and Lufa being the other two Reject players among the top 5 fraggers. His performance was truly one to behold as he mowed down every player who dared to face him in a match.

Reject, being the winner of PMJL has secured a spot in the upcoming PMWI hosted by Tencent. PMJL has once again proved why it is as highly valued as it is, proven by the investment in the tournament and its overall success of it among the audience. It is also a testament to how well the franchise system works given the correct infrastructure, as shown by PEL and PMJL.
