PUBG Mobile revenue crosses $1 Billion

Who would have thought until last year that Tencent made Battle Royale title PUBG Mobile will not only become a top free game on play store but will hit this milestone. A recent study by the Sensor Tower Store Intelligence says PUBG Mobile revenue surpassed $1 billion in global player spending.

Where PUBG Mobile growth is heading?

From the time of its launch, it took the players awestruck. This was evident from the announcement from PUBG Mobile that it has reached around 400 million downloads with 50 million daily active players.

In order to celebrate the landmark of downloads, the game also introduced a new map, special custom skins, and a brand new 4v4 Deathmatch mode. And players can expect many more things to come as the game touches more milestones with the passing time.

When we talk about its gross revenue, “it has grown from approximately $25 million in August 2018 to slightly more than $160 million this year which is an increase of about 540 Percent,” the report mentioned.

Even after excluding the revenue from China, the monthly PUBG Mobile revenue has more than doubled w.r.t last year. Player spending in the PUBG Mobile outside China last month reached nearly $63 million according to Sensor Tower estimates, which is an increase of 152 Percent from a year earlier.

The growth of PUBG Mobile has been massive since its launch. It is generally said that a good mobile game has a lifespan of 5 to 10 years. But with this rate of growth, it will be interesting to see where PUBG Mobile will reach after 5 years down the line.
