Payload Mode 2.0, the revamped iteration of the popular PUBG Mobile and BGMI game mode is set to make a return to the game ever since its removal after the addition of Unranked classics in the game. All changes and updates in PUBG Mobile are always consequently added to its Indian counterpart BGMI as well. Therefore, there’s an almost certain chance that it will pertain to this announcement as well.
Payload Mode 2.0 returns with exclusive weapons
The Payload mode is a game mode in PUBG Mobile, similar to the classic battle royale mode but with a few twists. This mode is available exclusively on the Erangel map. On the map, certain buildings called Defense Fortresses are spawned randomly that are locked and deny entry to players in the early stages of the game.
After some time, the Fortresses are unlocked after which squads of players can rush to seige the building. These buildings promise high-level loot, a special kind of armor called the Bomb Suit, and a helicopter for a quick escape. The Bomb Suit greatly enhances the durability of the player, rendering them immune to high damage and explosions from projectiles such as grenades. However, it also slows down players’ speed in exchange for added durability.
In this mode, the map includes unique weapons such as RPGs and Grenade Launchers. They spawn just like regular loot and players can carry them. The Military Base and Prison have secret rooms that players can access after blowing up the door with explosive weapons.
Also, spawn helicopters are available at the major locations on the map such as School, Pochinki, and Military Base. According to the official announcement, there has been a lot of demand from the players to bring back the mode on various social media, and Payload Mode 2.0 is finally going to make its return to the game on June 15, 2022.
Fans are excited about the return of Payload Mode 2.0
The return of a fan-favorite mode such as the Payload Mode 2.0 is a good initiative from the developers of PUBG Mobile as pleasing the players is an integral part of keeping a game engaging and marketable.
