Gravity is trying to bank on its popular franchise and build more games on the 3D MMORPG Ragnarok universe, and hence they have come up with another brand new title Ragnarok: Rebirth. As of now, Ragnarok: Rebirth has also received the official launch for both Android and iOS in the SEA region.
Well, before this, we have seen plenty of games based on this franchise. Ragnarok: Rebirth will join several other mobile titles based on the IP namely Ragnarok Origin, RAGNAROK 20 HEROES, and Ragnarok Arena to name a few with the most recent being RAGNAROK Vertical which recently entered early access for Android.
Ragnarok: Rebirth tries to recreate the experience of the original game
Well, as expected, we have the RPG gameplay in this title, bringing back the nostalgia and excitement of the original game. The gameplay primarily features a portrait mode, though in battles there’s the rotated view too, but with the flexibility to switch. There is an idle system, which allows you to gain strength and rewards even while offline, and the pace of the game is quite decent, although, in the graphical POV, I didn’t find it attractive, this ultimately comes down to personal taste.
Inspired by the original franchise, the game features classic classes such as Swordsman, Mage, Archer, Acolyte, Merchant, and Thief, allowing you to relive your initial experiences and create new memories as you progress. The game introduces a free trade system, where players can set up their trading stalls to find rare items at bargain prices.
Additionally, Ragnarok: Rebirth includes adorable mounts and pets that can accompany players in their quests and battles. Overall, this game might not be unique given we have had better titles, but this can surely be an entertaining one.
As I mentioned, you have this game available with its launch in the SEA region, so if you are from there, grab your Android or iOS devices, and follow either the Google Play Store or App Store depending on your platform or search for Ragnarok: Rebirth and then get going. For the rest of the regions, you will have to wait for a global launch, for which the details aren’t out yet.
