Rec Room x Mattel collaboration brings new Barbie and Ken outfits to the game

Rec Room and Mattel Inc. have announced a continuation of their collaboration, bringing the renowned Barbie brand to the Rec Room audience worldwide. With the addition of a cowboy hat, vest, and belt, players may now dress up their avatars in new Barbie and Ken outfits.

Rec Room aims to deepen player engagement within the virtual world with this collaboration

Rec Room, a well-known free-to-play game renowned for its social and virtual worlds, made a major cameo during Apple’s first announcement for Vision Pro in early June.

This Barbie activation demonstrates the game’s ability to engage a diverse and extensive audience through its range of branded content thanks to successful partnerships with the NFL and the hosting of their first music festival, Rec Rocks. By incorporating characters like Barbie, Rec Room aims to deepen player engagement and foster meaningful connections within the virtual world.

The Barbie activation promises to bring happiness and inspiration to everyone who enters Rec Room’s virtual world, regardless of whether players opt to take part in inventive role-playing scenarios, missions, or simply interact with friends.
