Sandsoft Games, a mobile-first game developer, publisher, and investor powered by AAA talent, has announced the start of the second season of Press Start, its innovative internship program. The full-time internships are open to locals who are interested in working in the gaming industry and are designed to develop and nurture exceptional talent for Saudi Arabia’s gaming sector.
The Press Start aims to nurture local talent and provide a boost to the regional games industry
Following the initial Press Start initiative’s success, which got underway in December 2022, aspirant professionals in the games business are once more asked to set out on the adventure of developing a playable mobile game within a time frame of six months.
The Press Start program, which is in line with Vision 2030, has been designed to foster varied local talent and support the regional games industry. The Press Start cohort will be assisted by prominent industry specialists from Sandsoft in a variety of fields, enabling them to specialize in one of three fields: design, art, or coding.
Successful applicants will work from Sandsoft’s flagship Riyadh Studio
Successful candidates will work from Sandsoft’s main studio in Riyadh, where they will have access to state-of-the-art tools and resources. A group of respected video game industry professionals, including Yahsir Qureshi, Sandsoft’s Head of Studio in Riyadh, who have worked on popular game franchises like Candy Crush Saga, FIFA, World of Tanks, Need For Speed, and more, are in charge of Press Start.
