The game is launching on March 25, 2025.

Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game is a new single-player life simulation game from Private Division and Weta Workshop that will launch next year. The game is based on the popular The Lord of The Rings IP, launching for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, PC, and Mobile.

For mobile users, the game will be released as a Netflix Games exclusive, the latest addition to its ever-growing library. There have been multiple mobile games based on The Lord of the Rings in the past including The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War and The Lord of the Rings: Heroes, and Tales of the Shire becomes the latest addition in that list.

Tales of the Shire lets you experience life as a Hobbit in the land of Bywater

Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings Game offers you to experience the cozy life of a hobbit in the beautiful and serene landscape of the Shire. It is a life simulation game developed by Weta Workshop and published by Private Division.

In this game, you can create your own Hobbit as you embark on your journey in Bywater. Though it isn’t officially recognized as a village in Hobbiton yet, you’ll have to play a part in helping this charming town thrive.

Tales of the Shire also allows you to decorate your own Hobbit hole, take care of your garden, fish in the clear ponds, search for wild fruits and herbs, and trade with the locals. You can also prepare homemade meals that you can share with your fellow Hobbits and foster relationships.

With much to explore and delicious food to eat, you can spend your days relaxing in the beauty of the picturesque forests, lakes, and pastures. You must help unite the community to achieve village status in Bywater. I am very excited about this opportunity to experience life in Middle Earth.

It’s a nice surprise for all The Lord of The Rings fans out there. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, PC via Steam, and Mobile via Netflix Games on March 25, 2025.
