Tencent Games has announced that their upcoming new fantasy MMORPG Tarisland will enter closed beta tests in China on June 8, 2023. The announcement was made at the Chinese giant’s SPARK 2023 annual conference which was held yesterday.
Tarisland combines fantasy and technology to offer an epic battle experience
First announced last month, Tarisland aims to combine technology and fantasy elements, where players get to engage in epic battles across a huge globe rich with wonders. At the game conference, a new gameplay video presenting the Snow Lion Barbarians for the first time was unveiled.
Created with the idea of avoiding the pay-to-win scenario, Tarisland will be available on both PC and mobile platforms upon release, with the cross-platform capability to unite the two worlds into a single fully-fledged entity. In terms of combat, there are seven classes to choose from, each with two separate fighting styles and specializations for battle.
Tarisland will enter closed beta tests on June 8, 2023, with the registrations now open. This will be exclusive only to players in China, but the global tests might also take place in the same month which might follow a small-scale test as mentioned in their tweet.
Players can find the test recruitment site here for which they should log in with their QQ or Weibo account. A questionnaire is also now live, which can be filled out here. For news and updates, you can keep an eye on the global website. There is currently no information about the game’s release date, so stay tuned for the updates.
