The Alchemist Code will shut down its global server on March 31, 2023

Another game bites the dust!

The Alchemist Code, a popular strategy RPG published by Gumi will come to an end as the official team has announced that the game will shut down on March 31, 2023. Although the reason behind the decision was not mentioned, fans of the game are disappointed with the announcement.

Players can submit their refund requests for unused in-game currency

Popular for its turn-based mechanics, The Alchemist Code was one of the popular choices in the genre ever since its debut on the mobile screen in 2016 when it was first introduced in Japan. From intense 3D animations to stunning anime-styled cutscenes, the game was praised for its superb music and voice acting as well.

With the decision of shutting down the game, fans of the game have experienced a shock. From February 7th, 2023, players will not be able to purchase any in-game item, like paid gems. However, the remaining currency can be spent within the game until its closure.

Players can request a refund on their in-game currency, and it is made available for a refund by gumi. Starting from April 3rd, 2023, players can go to the refund webpage and select the Request for Refund option for getting their refunds.

After submission of the form, players will be getting a response within 60 days and a refund (if claimable) will be initiated within 90 days through PayPal. The period to apply for a refund commences on April 3rd, 2023, and will be ending on June 3rd, 2023.

On thought, the game connected well with the fans, and the characters had nice artwork. It is really sad to see when a game shuts down, as we need to see more games thrive. Due to several reasons, these decisions are taken, and as fans, we do not have control over it.
