It’s been close to a month since Ubisoft Entertainment finally rolled out The Division Resurgence globally, and naturally, curiosity kicked in to see how the mobile shooter has been performing. Based on current estimates, the game has generated around $2.82 million in player spending as it approaches its one-month mark on mobile.

The Division Resurgence has been on a dip since the second week
As per the AppMagic report, The Division Resurgence has collected $1.69 million in net revenue, which accounts for platform fees from the App Store and Google Play. Adjusting for those cuts, the actual gross revenue lands closer to the $2.8 million figure, a clearer figure of how much players have spent so far.

On the download front, the game has managed to cross 3.43 million installs worldwide at the time of writing. Again, I would say it is indeed a good start to the title, but it can definitely be expected to reach higher numbers from a game of this scale.
If we look at the chart, the peak is during the initial weeks of launch, which is expected for any new game. The dip in revenue happened after the peak during the second week, when on April 12th, it recorded the highest revenue, and until then, it was on a climbing streak.
Ever since its first announcement, the hype was pretty much on, and the wait took a long while for the title to see global release. So, looking back at that, I would say these numbers should have been better. However, even though having strong reviews, a few factors might have affected this.

Mainly, the hardware specifications are a tad too high. The game’s difficulty to run on devices with mid-range processors definitely holds it back from getting the audience of that market, who are among the largest segments of mobile gamers.
Crossing $2.8 million in estimated player spending within the first month is a decent opening for The Division Resurgence, but definitely it can do better. If Ubisoft can address the audience and get the game ready for more devices and ofcourse a few interesting updates, it can shake things up a bit.
