The Sims Labs: Town Stories is an upcoming simulation from the popular Sims franchise. The title is currently under a playtest phase and spotted in the Google Play Store but exclusive to Australia only. It is a part of Electronic Arts’ The Sims Labs, a playtesting program launched last August.
So far, we only know the game is currently available only on Android with no information about its release on other platforms. But thanks to The Sims Mobile Access, a Twitter account has shared some exclusive gameplay of The Sims Labs: Town Stories.
The Sims Labs: Town Stories offers exciting building simulation
The title features traditional gameplay like the other games from Sims franchise. Set in a town called Plumbrook where your avatar recently moved in and the task is to interact with the residents and building facilities. But as it is under the Sims Labs platform, created to “explore new experimental ways to play The Sims“, it offers multiple new features and customizations.
The game still needs to cross a long way to be ready to appear as a final version. The gameplay shows a moderate optimization in graphics and EA’s less effort. However, we believe that EA will walk on the right path after collecting feedback and comments from the community.
How to download and play The Sims Labs: Town Stories from anywhere
The Sims: Town Stories is already seen in the Google Play Store. But it’s not available to download from anywhere in the world. The current appearance seems to be a playtest version and only exclusive to Android in Australia. However, we have your back if you want to enjoy it on your device. Follow the steps to download it.
- To get the game, you will require an Australian Google Account.
- To get one, you can use any VPN of your choice.
- Install the VPN and set the location to Australia.
- Head over to the Play Store to create a new account. Skip the step that asks you if you want to add a mobile number.
- Agree to the TnCs.
- Once your new account is ready, click here to go to the game’s Google Play Page.
- Download the game and install it.
- You can turn off your VPN while playing the game.
Also, note that you need to sign up for The Sims Labs from its official website. It requires you to have an EA Account, which you can create here. EA was already developing another Sims title named Project Rene which was believed to be Sims 5. However, the company recently clarified Project Rene, saying it to be a spinoff with new features. And now, The Sims Labs: Town Stories is also a separate title under the The Sims Labs project.
