XD Inc., a well-known developer company from China, announced its new ARPG series namely Torchlight: Infinite which will go live for testing by the end of this year in China. XD Inc. producer Liu Heng confirmed the news and also revealed some great insights regarding this ARPG game. Similar to the popular game Diablo, the Torchlight franchise announced their new series at the ChinaJoy 2019 event of which Torchlight: Infinite is the latest addition.
The game is a joint venture of XD Inc. and Perfect World, which also holds the ownership of the IP of Torchlight games. Torchlight: Infinite is a mobile ARPG that features a highly flexible character-building experience. Developer company XD will publish the game in Asia and took rights from Runic Games and Perfect World to develop the new title. This is going to be the second time XD Inc. will bring a classic franchise to mobile with a self-developed game title after Ragnarok M: Eternal Love.
Great features with three magical heroes in the game
Torchlight: Infinite will have 3 heroes that you can enjoy playing with. Rehan, a pure magic-skilled “Barbaric Mage”, Gemma, an “Ice and Fire” melee expert, and Carino will be the first ones to arrive in the game. 24 passive ability pools will be available with almost 60 abilities in each and 180 skills. Liu Heng has said this is just the beginning and the numbers will grow considerably in the future.
Many exquisite designs have been added to enhance the game experience. However, this game does not have any stamina system as there is a limit in the production of daily resources. The attack skills of the playable characters in this game don’t feature any cooldown and only speed up with the attack speed so that the players can enjoy the intensity of every fight.
Apart from all of this, Torchlight: Infinite won’t have any PVP mode. Developers have stated it clearly that they don’t want to set strict limits on numbers to pursuit a perfect balance. However, the game will have an optional team system for the players. A highly flexible auction system will be present in the future as said by the developers. A brand new story is going to be introduced before players to ensure a richer and fresher gaming experience.

It will be interesting to see if this new addition to the ARPG gaming arena can claim a separate place or not. As the developers are promising a lot of new things included, players can hope to have a different taste of the same juice which will be available soon. In the meantime, players can pre-register for Torchlite: Infinite on TapTap and have a glimpse of what they can expect when the game comes out.
