Tower of Fantasy launch: Another big MMORPG on the horizon
Ever since the release of Genshin Impact, MMORPG has started to gain immense traction on mobile platforms. Perfect World, known globally for the classic MMORPG game Perfect World International, is the one behind Tower of Fantasy. Although no release date has yet been mentioned for other regions, this news means that the game will eventually arrive in other countries sooner rather than later.
Tower of Fantasy isn’t exactly an unknown entity either. The game has undergone a total of four beta tests and a variety of improvements have been made over the course of each test. The final “ultimate” test started on November 10 in China. Like Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy also utilizes Unreal Engine 4 and thus boasts an impressive array of visual quality, particularly for a mobile title.
An immersive handheld experience
Much like Perfect World’s previous MMORPGs, Tower of Fantasy promises to be an “immersive handheld experience”. In addition to the use of UE4, which provides for some truly stunning effects, the game also uses real-time motion capture to give a whole new breath of life to various characters in-game. The motion capture system will add a real dynamic nature to the interactions of various characters and NPCs in the game.
Of course, being an MMORPG, it allows for complete freedom of exploration in addition to its compelling plot. There are also set to be puzzle elements and the combat is said to be fast-paced. It still remains to be seen if this game can have an impact similar to Genshin Impact but we are not far away from finding out.
