TSM crowned as the champions of Wild Rift Wild Tour 2021 finals

Fans get to witness a dramatic final

One of the qualifiers for the upcoming Horizon Cup 2021, the Wild Rift Wild Tour 2021 Finals comes to an end today. TSM was crowned as the champion of the Wild Rift Wild Tour 2021 after they won the finals by a 4-3 margin against Só Agradece Esports. Besides being the champion, TSM secured its slot in the Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 that is going to take place in November this year.

Accumulating all four circuit points, the top eight teams meet in the regional final of the esports tournament where they fight in three stages namely the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the grand final. The offline event is held at Riot Games Studios, Sao Paulo.

Wild Tour 2021 Finals: As it happened

Só Agradece Esports, in their race to the grand final, defeated Keyd Stars in the quarters by 2-0 and DreamMax e-Sports in the semis by 3-0. The team lost a round for the first time at the hands of TSM. On the other hand, TSM beat Omegha E-sports in quarters and Havan Liberty in the semis.

Both finalists faced off each other in a Bo7 final. TSM took the first round and made the scoreline 1-0 but Só Agradece Esports retaliated taking the next two rounds. The excitement touched the peak after TSM took the fourth round in their favor. After 6 rounds,  the scoreline stood at 3-3. The stage was ready for the final drama where TSM won the last round and took the trophy home.

Prize pool

The whole event featured a total of R$170,000 (approximately $30,900) as the prize money to share among the teams. Each team’s share is as follows.

  • Champion: R$60,000 ($10,900)
  • Runner-up: R$40,000 ($7,300)
  • 3rd-4th placed teams: R$20,000 ($3,700)
  • 5th-8th placed teams: R$7,500 ($1,400)

Wild Rift Wild Tour 2021: Facts about the event

The two finalists were the winner of all the four events where Só Agradece Esports won the first three, and TSM was the winner of the fourth event. Black Dragons and SS Esports are the only two teams that played all four events but could not qualify for the finals while DreamMax e-Sports and Omegha E-sports booked their slot for the top eight by playing three events.
