A new story trailer for Underworld Gang Wars is now out on YouTube and it has managed to gather more than 1.8 Million views barely a day after being uploaded. The trailer builds up a story for the game, detailing how the Island of Dhantara is divided into two territories by the River Maya and their criminal overlords, who are vying for complete control.
Underworld Gang Wars is a battle royale set in India
For those who haven’t heard of the game, Underworld Gang Wars is yet another battle royale title, with its Indian origins being this game’s biggest selling point so far. The game is apparently supposed to answer the question of what a battle royale set in India would look like and specifically markets itself to Indian mobile gamers, a move that they can actually get away with since India constitutes a pretty big, influential, and loyal player base for a bunch of other games.

The game was first announced back in May and it’s apparently supposed to release at the end of this year with pre-registration already open on the Google Play store although we haven’t gotten any glimpses at the gameplay so far in either of the two.
The game is pretty similar to the usual battle royale format, with squads, duos, and solos and the concept of the last one standing, albeit with an Indian theme like references to iconic locations, vehicles, and weapons. The story also does seem pretty engaging according to the story reveal trailer of Underworld Gang Wars.
The game will face stiff competition from the bigger titles
Now the game does have a rather large following already, however as we’ve seen before with FAU-G, a game that created a lot of hype but fell flat shortly after releasing, proudly slapping on the Made in India tag on your game might not be enough to take on the bigger titles like PUBG Mobile or Call of Duty Mobile.
