Valkyrie Rush: Idle & Merge from Com2us will shut down on May 11, 2023

A good decision considering the pace of development

Valkyrie Rush: Idle & Merge, an idle RPG from Com2us, will shut down on May 11, 2023. Although the reason for shutting down the game is not revealed in the announcement, Valkyrie Rush was constantly criticized for being an obvious pay-to-win game.

The game has already been removed from the app stores

Valkyrie Rush: Idle & Merge had its global debut on February 2022 after being first announced in 2021. Together with merging and leveling up features, Valkyrie Rush also contains idle gameplay elements. The gamers, though, expressed their anger about the game’s obvious cash grab from the start, so it wasn’t warmly received.

The makers took to social media to announce that the game will shut down on May 11, 2023. The end of service will be after a year of operation and will join a few other games that will be discontinued in the month of May. The makers had already ended the support for German and French languages in March 2023, which was an indication of the lack of engagement in those areas.

Following the announcement, the game has been removed from the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store as of April 11, 2023. Do note that the game can still be played up until the service termination date by those who already have it downloaded on their device.

Com2us is renowned for producing excellent role-playing games like Summoners War: Chronicles, but there is no denying that Valkyrie Rush: Idle & Merge is a dud. However, the game’s clear opportunity for money-grabbing made it miserable to play, and given how badly its progression was, the choice to end it was the appropriate one.
