Vampire Survivors releases Steam Trading Cards, co-op gameplay video, and more

At the co-op hands-on event, players will be able to try out the new mode before launch!

Developer Poncle has released Steam Community Items for Vampire Survivors today and also unveiled a new item for the upcoming co-op mode and shared the first gameplay video for it. Additionally, it was revealed that the team will soon hold its first-ever IRL community event and that Vampire Survivors’ Steam version will fully transition to the new engine on August 17 (currently, the game runs on both the old and new engines simultaneously).

Vampire Survivors introduces Steam Community Items and the new co-op mode and its item

As a result of several requests from the community, gamers can now unlock the following to enhance their Steam profiles:

  • 5 Trading Cards
  • 6 Badges
  • 5 Emoticons
  • 3 Profile Backgrounds

The co-op version of Vampire Survivors’ first gameplay video has recently been uploaded by poncle. Many fan questions are addressed, including how friendships are ended, relocating as a group, and leveling up. The new mode is shown in the video in an advanced build, although the specifics are still being balanced and adjusted.

The group also unveiled a fresh item for the cooperative mode today: an age-old, formidable object known as… The Friendship Amulet. This item may be found on the level-up screen, and it will level up a different player’s random weapon. Players will have to choose whether to strategically (or selfishly) level up a weapon of their choosing or to randomly level up everyone in the group.

Vampire Survivors on Steam will switch to new engine and will host its first-ever community event in London this month

For a time, Vampire Survivors on Steam has been utilizing both its old engine and its new engine (which was required for porting and improved stability). The Steam version of the game will completely transition over to the new engine on August 17 when the co-op update drops because the new engine has now been properly tested and is as stable as the old one.

Poncle is hosting its very first ever real-life community event! It’s a hands-on event where gamers and VIPs may test out the co-op mode before it releases. If you don’t have any buddies, don’t worry; the team will provide some in this instance. Early August will see the start of the co-op event in London.

The co-op mode, free items, and unexpected snacks are what players may anticipate. Limited complimentary tickets are available. Poncle will post further information about the application process for tickets on their Twitter and TikTok.
