Almost a year ago, Digital Extremes officially confirmed that a mobile version of Warframe will soon launch on mobile with cross-play and cross-save. Digital Extremes holds a big event called TennoCon every year, which informs about the recent upcoming events. In this year’s TennoCon, Digital Extremes finally announced a brief update that the mobile version of WarFrame is getting ready for an internal cross-play test.
Players can finally add friends and play with them from any desired platform now. Being available on all the platforms means that matchmaking will no longer be divided by various platforms.
Warframe Mobile: Updates on the upcoming internal cross-play test
Warframe was initially released in the year 2013 as a PC game. As years passed, the game got featured in other consoles too. Digital Extremes shared a very short update on their recent upcoming cross-play test on Warframe this weekend.
Although the dates of the cross-testing period have not been revealed yet a piece of good news is expected soon. The team had gone through an undefined testing period and it will be expanded to community testing this year as the first step towards crossplay, cross-save, and mobile.
The game will get through some community tests this year for the improvement of the cross-play mechanics before making the mobile version of Warframe into a proper mobile game.
Whether the game will be a closed beta or a free for all open beta test is still unknown and is still not revealed. This means that fans really need to wait and be patient for playing this game on mobile, while some major information about the cross-play test remains unrevealed.
Warframe Mobile version release date
