With the Patch 5.3 Update, the developers at Riot Games will let Wild Rift explore lots of interesting additions and improvements. The new patch update titled Ultimate Arc will be taking lots of inspirations from the second and final season of the Arcane series. Inspirational additions would feature New Champion additions, runes and even hero reworks to properly match them with their animated series counterparts.
Wild Rift Patch 5.3 update will also be showcasing lots of intriguing events. Another intriguing showcase would be Wild Rift’s 4th Anniversary event coming in October 2024. There are upcoming gameplay changes, Champion reworks, new skins, and more.
Wild Rift Patch 5.3 Update: Arcane Season 2-inspired additions
New Champions
Heimerdinger
To kick off Arcane season 2, a new Champion – Heimerdinger is going to be released. Even though he might be the smallest inventor from Piltover, he can surely achieve a lot of stuff with the use of his Missiles. Heimerdinger is a Support champion that excels at using his turret inventions to zone and control teamfights and objectives effectively.
Ambressa
Another champion hero inspired by the upcoming second season of Arcane is Ambressa. Known as the Matriarch of War, she is a ruthless close combat fighter who will surely terrorize foes on the rift with her deadly combos.
Arcane-inspired Champion Reworks
Singed
The Devs are hoping to add some chemical balance by giving Singed more combat power as well as ally influence. This new version of Singed will have the ability to bond with allies, giving them new buffs.
Warwick
Warwick would be reworked to give him some extra Consistency and power in his Hunt. The Devs also promise to update the targeting logic of Warwick’s ultimate ability, granting him more precision to aggressively take down enemies.
Arcane Events
Firelights Reignite event
This event would be exploring new corners of Zayn and Piltover. The event draws direct inspiration from Arcane Season 2 and would be following different immersive stories of what it’s like living in the Firelight’s Hideout. It would come along with mini-games to commemorate the event. You can also obtain lots of bonus event-themed rewards.
Gameplay Changes
The Devs intend to improve the super late game experience as well as that of the early neutrals.
- A new Hex Elder Dragon is coming to the Rift. Slaying him will give you a Hextech-infused Aspect of the Dragon. This will grant your attacks and abilities a lightning arc effect that bounces up to three targets. It also allows you to deal extra true damage and execute Health enemies.
- The Rift scuttler is going to be given a Hextech upgrade. Depending on whether it is near the dragon or Baron lane, killing it would grant you different unique effects.
- The Devs would now be adding Visual audio alerts to alert you when a ward sees an enemy. This would allow you to play safe and avoid unnecessary ambushes.
- Master Rank would now be broken down into three tiers to allow for a much more challenging, yet intriguing gameplay experience.
- The Devs will be removing the pick and ban phase for players in Gold and below ranks. This allows for a much easier get-into-the-game process.
- In Wild Rift’s China Version, Bans in the Draft Pick phase will now be increased to 5 for Master and above ranks.
Wild Rift Patch 5.3 “Ultimate Arc” Update: Game modes
New Game Mode: Showdown
Showdown is a brand-new game mode that is coming to Wild Rift in the Patch 5.3 update. Six game-changing legendary items will be added to amp up combat and make the gameplay more exciting for all.
Throughout the match, you will collect item fragments by participating in team fights or completing objectives. On gathering enough fragments, you can then build your ultimate item. These Piltover and Zaun-inspired ultimate items will be champion-type specific.
Wild Rift Patch 5.3 Update: Ranked Season, Wild Pass, and more skins
Ranked Season 13 and Wild Pass
- The Ranked Season 15 will start on September 29th with a new Jhin skin as a free reward.
- The new Wild Pass will showcase Dream Raider Khaz’Zix as it hunts for your dreams.
- The Second Wild Pass would feature an Elderwood Xayah skin.
- In celebration of the second season of Arcane, there will be an Arcane Special Pass. It would feature two exquisite skins that are yet to be revealed.
There will be plenty of new skins for players to grab as well, which include the Shan Hai Scolls skins, Stargazer skins, Battle skins, Winterblessed skins, and Dark Star skins!
