World Cricket Championship 4 (WCC4) has opened pre-registration on Android platforms, giving cricket fans their first step toward the next entry in Nextwave Multimedia’s popular mobile franchise. From what is revealed so far, WCC4 is aiming to be a much deeper and more realistic cricket experience than previous titles.
World Cricket Championship 4 focuses on visual enhancements and squad building
The game places a strong emphasis on squad management, allowing you to build and manage a 24-player squad using over 100 licensed players. I see there’s an option to select a captain at the start, so it is more of a collect your cards and progress. Each player will come with unique attributes and play styles.
Progression in WCC4 is tied to a Fan-based system. You gain or lose Fans based on your performances, and your Fan count decides whether you move up or drop down divisions. Higher divisions unlock stronger players and better rewards.

The gameplay side is where the excitement is. Batting and bowling controls have been reworked to feel more responsive and precise. The AI adapts better to match situations, and the difficulty adjusts based on how well you play.
On top of that, WCC4 introduces a fully rebuilt physics system, improving ball movement, bat-ball contact, and overall player animations. Visually, the game aims for realism with photorealistic graphics, scanned player models, enhanced stadiums, and smoother animations being part of it as well.
When WCC4 was first revealed in December last year, I always felt that WCC4 wasn’t really necessary, since the first three games already did a solid job, and simply updating the third one would have been enough. However, from what I can see now, there’s a clear change in approach.
This time, the focus seems to be much more on fantasy-style team building, with a stronger emphasis on online gameplay. I don’t see a mention of Career Mode here, so that kind of makes me strongly feel this is for PvP lovers.
At the moment, World Cricket Championship 4 is available for pre-registration on Android via the Google Play Store. iOS pre-registration is not open yet, and there is no confirmed date for when it will go live. More details about the release are expected to be shared later, so stay tuned in this space.
