eFootball 2026 March update bids goodbye to cheaters and negative coin users with a new Legend debut

Story Highlights
  • eFootball 2026 March update has brought in some interesting new rules.
  • eFootball League exploiters have been kicked off from the game for cheating.
  • Players who have negative coins have also been restricted of in-game features.

Another week rolls in, and eFootball 2026 might not have made this an exciting update, but an important system update has gone live this March 2026. While the focus shifts to midfield legends in the upcoming pack, there’s also a serious change tied to coin refunds that could affect your account access alongside action against cheaters.

eFootball 2026 March update: All the details explained

Update on coin refunds policy

One of the most important changes in this update is related to eFootball Coin refunds. Earlier, if you requested a refund through Google Play after purchasing and spending coins, the system would automatically deduct the corresponding amount of coins from your account.

If your balance isn’t enough at that time, it will result in a negative coin balance. However, now, it will also block certain game modes and features, including eFootball League. This essentially means you won’t be able to fully play the game unless you recover those coins.

National Midfielders’ pack arriving

Next Monday, March 30, 2026, will focus on National Midfielders, with upgraded versions of two existing names.

You’re getting Franck Ribéry and Gennaro Gattuso, both returning with refreshed cards. Ribéry comes with Momentum Dribbling and Edged Crossing ST skills, while Gattuso stays true to his Destroyer role with Fortress and Long-reach Tackle.

Alongside them, Christian Karembeu is making his debut as part of the 30th Anniversary Legend edition. As a Box-to-Box option, we also get Low Screamer and Fortress skills on him.

League exploit punishments being enforced

KONAMI has also shared an update regarding punishments for players using exploits in eFootball League. Accounts found using cheats, abnormal match behavior, or third-party tools are now facing suspensions and restrictions. They’ve made it clear that PvP matches are being actively monitored, so don’t do anything that disrupts fair play.

eFootball Points shop refresh

The eFootball Points shop has also been updated, as there’s a free reward of 100 eFootball Coins available for 0 points, which is an easy grab. For now, it seems to be an region specific option, so do check the Points store.

A Cup Champion Has Been Crowned campaign

There’s also a limited-time campaign celebrating a domestic cup win. During this period, Manchester B players will have their Live Update Rating set to A. This runs from March 26 to April 2, 2026.
