Brawl Stars enters partnership with Matcherino to empower third-party esports tournaments

Brawl Stars, Supercell’s fast-paced multiplayer team strategy game is going to complete 4 years of global release in December 2022. The game has invested in making the game a better title for esports over the years. While Supercell has made various changes to the in-game challenges, monthly qualifiers, and world finals, there is still a lot of scope for developing competitions for aspiring players at the grassroots level. Brawl Stars has now entered a partnership with Matcherino for esports tournaments.

Brawl Stars Matcherino partnership to bring more opportunity for Players 

Brawl Stars is entering into a partnership with Seattle-based tournament platform Matcherino. Matcherino is a crowdfunding platform that helps organizers to run successful third-party esports tournaments. The platform in esports aids to raise money from fans and sponsors and uses it to pay players. The move is aimed at elevating the competitive scene at the grassroots level by giving players more chances to hone their skills in other open-for-all tournaments around the globe.

This comes after, Supercell announced the Brawl Stars Championship Mid-Season Invitational earlier this month. The event is a three-day invitational taking place in DreamHack, Sweden between June 18-20 where 8 teams from across the world will play for a prize pool of $150,000.

The partnership aims to empower third-party Brawl Stars tournaments

As a part of this tie-up, third-party tournament organizers will gain several benefits. These include the Matcherino tools to manage tournament settings, prize pools, and the ability to sell in-game items.  There are four tiers for organizers based on the prize pool. With each passing tier, organizers will gain benefits like matching contributions to the prize pool and exclusive pins for contributors and winners.

Supercell will also be matching the prize pools for some events up to $1,500. The tie-up aims to democratize access to esports and will make organizing independent tournaments easier. Players can check and contribute to various upcoming events on the official website of Matcherino.

Players to compete for exclusive rewards and cash prizes 

The players can compete in tournaments to win cash prizes. To participate in a tournament, players need to sign up with their teammates. Players can reserve a spot and later join find an open team, or sign up as a free agent to indicate their availability. On top of the cash prizes, players stand a chance to get access to exclusive pins by winning tournaments or contributing $5 and above to qualifying events’ prize pool.
