Brawl Stars World Championship 2023: Format, participating team, prize pool, and more

A new season is coming

After finishing a successful year in esports in 2022, Brawl Stars is moving to a new year with a new World Championship already announced in 2023. We saw ZETA DIVISION take first and second place in the Brawl Stars World Championship 2022, and it is time again to start the competition for a new winner. The World Championship is the official roadmap for the Brawl Stars esports which will end in November after crowning the new world champion in the World Finals 2023. Before that, there will be several monthly qualifiers, separate events for the China region, and the Last Chance Qualifier.

This year’s world championship is also coming back with a bigger prize pool and will include new regions. In this article, we will provide you with every detail that you need to know about the tournament.

Brawl Stars World Championship 2023: Format and Schedule

As part of the Championship series, there will be several events throughout the entire year. The esports year will conclude with the largest event crowing the world champion in 2023. The grand event of Brawl Stars esports will take place in Jönköping, Sweden in November. Scheduled to start on the 24th of November 2023, the Brawl Stars World Finals 2023 will run till the 26th.

Brawl Stars World Finals will have two phases, the Group Stage and the Playoffs. The teams will be divided into four groups of 3 teams in each and will face the group mates. The top 2 from each group will advance to the Playoffs round. The group stage will take place on the 24th and the 25th of November.

With the remaining 8 teams, the Playoffs will commence on the 26th of November 2023. Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the Grand Final will take place in the day and the Brawl Stars world will get to watch which team becomes the crowning champion.

Almost all the esports teams will participate in the championship series while the top 12 will be selected to participate in the World Finals. There will be a total of 8 teams in the world finals from the direct qualifiers. From several regions around the world, the teams will be selected based on their respective BSC points. Later, the rest 4 teams will be selected from the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). Thus, a total of 12 teams will participate in the world championship. The list of teams is as follows.

This year’s world championship will feature a massive prize pool and $750K USD will be awarded in the finals only. However, the distribution process of the prize pool is as follows.
