Clash Royale League 2022: Changes announced by Supercell

According to the statement made in the official announcement, there will be 2 ways by which a player can acquire a slot in the CRL World Finals, where 16 of the best players from all over the world will participate. These are:

  1. Via the regular Clash Royale League – The Clash Royale League is a 6 week long tournament hosted to pick 8 of the best players to participate in the World Finals. It will commence in August but no further details have been provided as the esports team looks to keep it as a surprise.
  2. Via a Golden Ticket tournament – A Golden Ticket in this case is a direct entry to the World Finals made available to the winners of the community hosted tournaments. Upto 8 such tournaments will be held, yielding 8 entries to the World Finals. Each tournament will have a $50,000 prize pool and will be played in a 1v1 duel mode.

The qualification process for the CRL will be done through an in-game event that will feature tasks and special challenges. It will be open for all and any player willing could move forward and secure a spot for themselves in the CRL World Finals. As for the community-hosted Golden Ticket tournaments, the players are asked to keep an eye on Clash Royale’s community page and the esports page. All details will be provided by the particular hosts which feature names like ESL.

Schedule

For the CRL, there has been no specified date, but the officials have confirmed it to be in the month of August which will last for 6 weeks thereafter. Similar to qualification, Golden Ticket schedules will be published by the third party and community organizers. The World Finals will take place from the 23rd of September to the 25th of September and will be a three-day affair.
