ESL has announced the return of another major esports event for Clash of Clans. The upcoming Clash of Clans event called the Snapdragon Mobile Open Season 2 will start on October 25, 2022. Players and teams from Europe and MENA regions are eligible for participating in the tournament. The tournament will consist of two ladders, the first ladder begins on October, 25. The tournament starts at the end of this month and will run until the beginning of December.
Clash of Clans Snapdragon Mobile Open Season 2: Overview
In order to register all participating players must have an ESL Play account for registering themselves. After that, they will have to create a team where they can invite their clanmates.
The next process involves players entering their roster through Manage Roster. Finally, they can sign up for the tournament with their team. The entire tournament has been divided into four stages, two open ladders, and two open finals.
- Open Ladder #1 will start on October 25 and run until November 4. The matches will be played every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 15:00 – 23:00 CEST.
- Open Final #1 will be held on November 13, at 18:00 CEST.
- Open Ladder #2 will be held for ten days starting from November 15 and running till December 25. The match timings are the same as Open Ladder #1.
- Open Final #2 will be held on December 4 at 18:00 CEST.
Teams will fight it out against each other for an overall prize pool of $5000. The entire prize pool will be distributed among teams that will have an Open Ladder Placement of 1st to 8th.
Tournament Rules and Format
- Teams will engage in 5v5 friendly wars with each other. The minimum number of players for a team is five and the maximum number is seven.
- Before the start of the tournament, players must enter their Clash of Clans Player Tag game ID. The participating players must be part of a clan that has a public war log.
- All the participating players should be at least 16 years old and have a Town Hall of level 15. Players can check the detailed rules for the tournament and also the name of the territories whose players are eligible for participation.
- Teams after registering themselves will be able to play matches on a Ladder by using the Instant Challenger option. Each team will be eligible for one open challenge at a time. Players will be able to use only one attack and this rule is valid across all tournament phases.
- Teams will have a preparation time of five minutes and a wartime of thirty minutes.
- As the tournament begins the team featured on the left side of the matching page will be allowed to host the game and send an invite for a 5v5 Friendly War to the opponent team.
- Finally, all the participating teams who want to qualify for the Open Finals must take part in at least ten Ladder matches.
Teams that are interested in competing in the tournament should register themselves by following the steps mentioned above. Thirty-four teams have already registered for the tournament so hurry up and get registered along with your clan members.
