Indus Esports Invitational tournament announced to kick off on October 28, 2023, with a $12K prize pool

Time for some esports action!

SuperGaming has decided to take things to the next level with their highly anticipated upcoming battle royale title Indus Battle Royale with the announcement of their first-ever Esports tournament on October 28, 2023, dubbed the Indus Esports Invitational. Several professional teams have already been invited to play for a prize pool of $12,000 (Rs. 10,00,000).

Indus Esports Invitational Overview

Indus is SuperGaming’s India-inspired battle royale title, initially scheduled for release in 2022. For this esports tournament, the event will feature the latest version of Indus, which encompasses the complete Virlok map, enhanced control options, design refinements, and improvements in visuals and animations.

Participating Teams

The Indus Esports tournament has extended invitations to the following teams:

  • Orangutan
  • Godlike Esports
  • Team 8bit
  • Global Esports
  • Enigma Gaming
  • Reckoning Esports

Additionally, teams consisting of Indus content creators, community members, and winners from previous playtests will also be in attendance at the event.

Prize Pool

The total prize pool for the Indus esports tournament is Rs. 10,00,000, with various amounts allocated to the winners, runners-up, third-place, fourth-place, and the most valuable player. The breakdown of the prize distribution for the Indus esports tournament is as below:

Indus Battle Royale pre-registrations cross 7 Million

Despite the absence of an official release announcement, Indus Battle Royale continues to achieve remarkable milestones, with pre-registrations surpassing an impressive 7 million. This February, it crossed over a million registrations, and looks like there is no stopping the hype and interest.

Expressing delight on this, SuperGaming co-founder and CEO Roby John said: “We’re thankful for the community’s response to Indus. Since our last community playtest in our studio, we feel we’re ready to see how the game performs in competitive environments featuring India’s best teams. We’re grateful for their support in building India’s most ambitious battle royale to date.”

Pre-registrations for Indus are currently available on the Google Play Store for Android and will soon be available on the App Store for iOS and iPad
