The Mobile Legends Professional League MPL-PH Season 10 Champions were decided in the grand final between Blacklist International and ECHO PH by a score of 4-2 for Blacklist International. They will receive the majority of the $150,000 prize as well as a ticket to the M4 World Championships, which will be held in Jakarta from January 1 to January 16. They will once more compete against ECHO in the storied championship, which attracted 3.1 million spectators at its peak during the previous edition.
A special 11 MPL Philippines Legends awards event was held as part of the 10th season’s grand finale to honour the league’s lengthy history in the country and the excellent athletes who have supported it. Manjean was named the special 11th MPL Philippines Legend in recognition of his years of service to the league and the community.
MPL-PH Season 10: Blacklist International and their journey through the grand finals
Blacklist International got off to a good start, winning Game 1 in just over fifteen minutes. Danerie “Wise” Rosario earned a 7/0/5 KDA and the Game 1 MVP award in this match since he made his Valentina debut in the jungle role and caught ECHO off-guard.
Blacklist International, on the other hand, struggled in the following two games of the series as ECHO was led by one of its superstars, Tristan “YAWI” Cabrea, who had back-to-back MVP performances for Games 2 and 3, respectively.
Fortunately, Blacklist managed to tie the series after Game 4 and keep up their winning ways in Game 5 to regain the upper hand. They finished off the match by bulldozing their way past ECHO in Game 6 to recover their deserved title as the MPL Philippines Season 10 winners.
More than 4,500 spectators showed up at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City to cheer on their favourite teams. Over 820,000 people watched the grand finals online and 1,600 people saw it in person, with spectators travelling from Singapore to support their teams with homemade banners and clappers. Edward Jay “Edward” Dapadap won USD 1,000 as the Finals MVP thanks in part to this support.
