- Inazuma Eleven: Cross features an original story starring assistant coach Shiozawa Yo.
- The Japan National Team 2026 Project introduces Mark Evans and Jude Sharp in national team uniforms, along with new commemorative artwork.
LEVEL-5 has announced to launch their new football sim, Inazuma Eleven: Cross, on both Android and iOS on June 9 in Japan. Developed by Aiming, this is the latest entry in the long-running Inazuma Eleven franchise, which held a closed beta test back in January 2026 and is now open for pre-registration.
Get ready to build your dream squad and take on strategic matches
If you don’t know, Inazuma Eleven: Cross is a football sim that is built around an original story and also a new protagonist. Here, you step in as Shiozawa Yo, an assistant coach who is suddenly thrown into the middle of a tournament, only to find out that nobody on the team seems to remember him. And as if that were not enough, former teammates have also become rivals now, with fan-favorites like Gouenji and Kidou now playing for the opposing side, and as a long-time Inazuma Eleven fan, I love this setup.
When it comes to gameplay, you’ll get to use command-based controls to build your dream team, experiment with tactical setups, and then compete in matches. The strategic planning will be interesting, although I’m not the biggest fan of auto-play systems, considering this game provides a full auto option, which I’m sure many will be happy about.
Now, the devs have also revealed the special Japan National Team 2026 Project alongside this release date announcement. And what I’m most excited about is seeing Mark Evans (Mamoru Endo) and Jude Sharp (Yuto Kido) appear in Japan’s national team uniforms, along with newly illustrated commemorative artwork. And from everything I saw during the CBT, the game does look promising, so do look forward to trying it.
Inazuma Eleven: Cross is launching on both Android and iOS on June 9 in Japan. So, you can now go ahead and pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the global release date.
