Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has announced Season 5 of Mobile Legends MPL- BR. It will be the esports league’s fifth season, with RRQ Akira looking to defend its title. The tournament will kick off on July 8th and wrap up on August 13th. MOONTON Games is the organizer of the tournament and TikTok will be the sponsor of the league for this season again.
Mobile Legends MPL-BR Season 5: Tournament Format
Regular Season
The regular season action will begin on July 8th and continue till August 13th. All eight teams of this tournament will be battling it out among themselves in this round. The regular season matches will be held in a double round-robin format. All the matches are supposed to be Best of 3 (Bo3) matches. The top six teams will advance to the playoffs. The point system of the regular season will be as follows:
- Earn 1 point for each game win
- Lose 1 point for each game lost
Playoffs
The playoffs stage will start on August 24th with the top six teams from the regular season. The teams will go against each other in a hybrid elimination bracket. The 3rd to 6th seeded teams compete in Round 1 which is single elimination.

The 1st and 2nd seeded teams receive a round bye and will start in Round 2 which is a double elimination round. All the matches will be played in a Best of 5 (Bo5) format and the Grand Finals will be played in a Best of 7 (Bo7) format.
Mobile Legends MPL-BR Season 5: Participating Teams
The tournament will feature a total of eight teams. Four teams directly qualified from Season 4 of the tournament, whereas the other four teams qualified for the tournament through qualifiers. Here is a list of all the participating teams in this tournament:

- Malvinas Brazil
- Influence Chemin
- Team Zeus E-sports
- Cyber Hunters
- Random Esports
