Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia (MPL-ID) Season 12 is set to begin on the 13th of July, 2023. ONIC Esports will be coming into this tournament as the defending champions. The tournament will be hosted by Mineski Indonesia and sponsored by Samsung.
The tournament will be held in an offline location in XO Hall (MPL Arena). We will break down all the details regarding the Prize Pool, Invited teams, Format, and more about the new season.
Mobile Legends MPL-ID Season 12: Tournament Format
Regular Season
The regular season action will begin on July 13th and continue till September 24th. All nine teams of this tournament will be battling it out among themselves in this round. The regular season matches will be held in a double round-robin format. All the matches are supposed to be Best of 3 (Bo3) matches. The top six teams will advance to the playoffs. The point system of the regular season will be as follows:
- Earn 1 point for each game win
- Earn 0 points for each game lost
Playoffs
The playoffs stage will start on October 11th with the top six teams from the regular season. The teams will go against each other in a hybrid elimination bracket. The 3rd to 6th seeded teams compete in Round 1 which is single elimination.
The 1st and 2nd seeded teams receive a round bye and will start in Round 2 which is a double elimination round. All the matches will be played in a Best of 5 (Bo5) format and the Grand Finals will be played in a Best of 7 (Bo7) format.
