These new rules for MPL-PH Season 9 were warmly welcomed by the fans and competing teams because they will enliven the competition that has been held since 2018.
Soon, the curtains for the new season will be opened and Blacklist International, as the defending champions will start their conquest to defend their throne. Blacklist will face a huge challenge to defend their title. They will compete without their two main players, Wise and Ohmyvenus, as they decided to skip this season to spend more time with their family and their desire to reach another personal achievement.

Exciting Playoff Format
MPL Philippines has announced on Twitter that there are some changes that will be implemented in the upcoming season. The main changes which have become a centre of attention are the privileges for the first and third-seeded team during the regular season.
They may choose their opponents in the first two games of the playoffs. It will put more weight on the eight teams that will clash with each other, in order to, get this huge advantage. Thus, they will have a chance to eliminate their competitors earlier.
Huge addition for the competing teams coaching staff
Another highlight that will pose a huge advantage for the competing teams is pertaining to the coaching staff system. Now, each team will be allowed to have three assistant coaches. One assistant coach may assist the head coach during the draft phase. This is good news for each team, due to the fact, they have more than one assistant coach. It will not be long before the start of this season’s tournament, which will be the 18th of February, 2022.
It will be exciting to see what kind of meta will be followed by the teams from the MPL-PH Season 9. Will it be Aura PH with their Diggie feeder or Lord delay meta by Onic PH.
