Peacekeeper Elite League PEL Season 3 2021: Participating teams, prize Pool and dates

Its now time for a tournament of Game For Peace!

The Peacekeeper Elite League PEL is back with its third installment in 2021, Season 3 of the year after the conclusion of PEL Season 2 which had ended last summer. We saw Nova Esports (NV) won the league stages while Show Time(ST) won the grand finals. The PEL is the Chinese equivalent of the PMPL in the global PUBG Mobile esports scene. It is played in the Chinese installment of PUBG Mobile, Game For Peace. Despite being a country level tournament, the PEL boasts a total prize pool higher than that of the S-tier global PUBG Mobile tournaments. It is also held with more lustre which justifies the hype.

The PEL follows the standard tournament format adopted by the PMPL. The league stage is divided into regular play and Super Weekends with a few twists of its own. The 20 teams will fight in the regular play for 2 days and the top 5 teams from the first day of play will directly advance to the Super Weekend or the Weekly Finals, as it is called in PEL. The remaining 15 teams will face off on the second day of regular play and the top 10 teams will advance to the Weekly Finals.

Slots for PMGC

Two of the teams with the most ranking points amassed across the 4 seasons in PEL will receive a direct entry into the PMGC, the annual esports event of PUBG Mobile, which decides the best team worldwide. Going into the third season, Tong Jia Bao Esports(TJB) are in a strong lead with other teams who are following suit in a close race to the top.

PEL Championship Points for the PMGC qualification

As we move into the third season of the PEL, there are a few factors that are looking promising as ingredients for an excellent tournament. TC, who had an excellent transfer window has built up possibly the strongest roster on paper by signing Suk from 4AM, Wyy and Lolita from STE and FlowerC from SMG. This powerhouse roster is being rivalled by WBG who has acquired Wildcat, a youth player, who is possibly the deadliest close combat player and Daquan from ST, Finals MVP of S2, who is known for his assaulting skills. Also, 4AM, after losing their IGL and their best player Suk and many other events have possibly resulted in a new power shift in the PEL. We await to see what happens and how the old giants like Nova and RNG hold up against the new monster lineups of TC, WBG etc. Keep following for more updates.
