Final thoughts
Both the East & West tournaments were very competitive, particularly among the top 3 in both sides. Ultimately small margins mattered the most. It was a good performance overall from Indian teams, with Orange Rock Esports exceeding expectations with a 2nd place finish. However, there were a total of 4 Indian teams in the top 10 – OR, TSM-Entity, IND & Megastars. Especially on the last day, they performed well OR & TSM-Entity were the two top teams. Bigetron RA was always in great form throughout the tournament, and it is safe to say that they deserved the winners’ medal. In the PMWL West Season ZERO, Futbolist won the trophy thanks to their huge number of kills, 26 more than 2nd placed Loops Esports to be exact. North American pro team Cloud9 also showed consistency throughout the tournament except the last day, coming 3rd in the Grand Finals.
However, PUBG Mobile have revealed their Esports plan for the 2nd half of 2020, and the biggest event of the year will be announced on August 24. So keep an eye on this space for further updates!
