PUBG Mobile revealed the Esports plan for the 2nd half of 2020

The first half of 2020 was outstanding for PUBG Mobile even after a temporary pause caused by COVID-19. After analyzing the support it received for the 1st half of 2020 which will finish with the crowning of the PUBG MOBILE World League Season Zero Champions, PUBG Mobile has announced their esports plan for the 2nd half of 2020.

The first quarter of 2020 was difficult for PUBG Mobile because a lot of Esports tournaments were lined up and then came the COVID-19 pandemic. But it is said that where there is a will, there is a way and PUBG Mobile is willing to revolutionize mobile eSports. A total of 80,000 teams signed up for the upcoming PMCO 2020 Fall Split. Also, the lifetime revenue of PUBG Mobile crossed $3 Billion recently. PUBG Mobile esports have shared details of upcoming tournaments in the 2nd half of 2020.


PUBG Mobile Esports plan for 2nd half of 2020

PMCO 2020 and PMPL 2020

Teams have to go through PUBG Mobile Club Open(PMCO) and PUBG Mobile Pro League(PMPL) in order to participate in PUBG Mobile World League. PUBG Mobile announced that both tournaments will start from next week. The detailed schedule for each of the PMCO and PMPL regions go like this:

Pro teams have been directly invited to the PUBG Mobile Pro League based on their PMPL Spring performance. They will face-off against the top teams from PMCO in the respective regions. The list of invited teams in PMPL for each of the regions are:

PUBG Mobile introduces a new point system for the 2nd half of 2020

PUBG Mobile Esports is all set to introduce a new point system from the fall seasons of PMPL 2020. It is designed to strike a balance between placement and kills scored throughout games. Teams will now get 15 points for earning a Chicken Dinner compared to 20 in the previous system. However, the new point system will be launched with PMPL 2020, while PMCO 2020 will continue to play on the old system with 20 placement points.

The Biggest Esports event is coming in the 2nd half of 2020

Apart from all these announcements, PUBG Mobile also announced its biggest competitive event of the year 2020 is coming soon! No details have been provided as of now, but they have confirmed announcements will be made on August 24. We will also update all the details as and when it is made available.
