PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2020 is announced by Tencent

The PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) 2020 for India has been officially announced today with its logo. This will be the second edition of the tournament after 2018 which was the first-ever LAN tournament. This specific tournament invites participants from colleges and universities across the country. Complete details regarding the eligibility criteria, prize pool, format and schedule of PMCC 2020 is yet to be announced.

The first edition witnessed registration of over 2,50,000 students from over 1000 colleges and 30 Cities across India. With ‘Terrifying Nightmares’ emerging as champions in 2018, it was considered as one of the best eSport tournaments for PUBG Mobile. As it is limited to students only, there is a chance for the new teams to show their might and move up the ladder.

PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2020 should be considered as a way to get exposure for all the participating students. It can help participants across the colleges and universities to get a fair understanding of their dreams.

Format of PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2020

PUBG Mobile hasn’t disclosed details regarding the format but there is a possibility that it could be the same as that of the first edition. In 2018, PUBG Mobile Campus Championship had a total of 80 teams divided into four groups. The tournament had four knockout rounds followed by the semi-finals. The best 20 teams were shortlisted for the finals for the total prize pool of Rs. 50,00,000

PUBG Mobile is very popular in the country and so it’s expected that the number of participants would be a record high this time around.
