PUBG Mobile Pro League, one of the biggest esports tournaments of the game is currently going on in SEA (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia/Singapore)and EMEA countries. In the meanwhile, PUBG Mobile has recently announced the PMPL for Americas, which consists of three sub-regions. These subregions are North America, LATAM or Latin America, and Brazil. In this article, we are going to discuss the format, schedule, and prize pool of the PMPL Season 2 2021 Americas.
PMPL Season 2 2021 Americas: Schedule
The league stage of PMPL LATAM and North America is going to take place from October 5 and will end on October 26. Meanwhile, the PMPL Brazil will start on September 7 and will end on the 26th.
The sub-regional finals will take place after the conclusion of the league stage of PMPL. The top 16 teams from the league stage will qualify for the finals. PMPL Season 2 will act as a qualifier for PMPL Americas regional finals and will play a vital role in the qualification for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. The sub-regional finals of North America and LATAM will start on October 29 and will end on October 31. The Brazil PMPL sub-regional final will take place on October 1 and will end on the 3rd.
Prize pool and format
The prize pool of the tournament hasn’t been disclosed as of now and is expected to be somewhere around the usual 5- or 6-figure amount. The tournament will follow the normal procedure of all PUBG Mobile competitive tournaments. This tournament will be divided into two parts- group stage and finals. All the teams will compete for 2 days and the top 16 teams will qualify for the super weekend battle. After three weeks, top 3 teams from super weekend ranking will qualify for the regional finals.
The league matches will only be played to determine the top 16 super weekend teams. In the SW, teams will pick up actual points which will help them to proceed further into the tournament. The champions of the league stage will directly get a slot in the regional finals irrespective of their results in the sub-regional finals.
