The ESN National Championship 2023 for Mobile Legends Bang Bang in Mongolia is over and Team Lilgun became the crowned champion. In the grand finals, the champion team defeated Last Chance by 4-2 to lift the trophy.
Besides, the team has qualified for the upcoming biggest event of MLBB Esports, the M5 World Championship. Team Lilgun will join the event’s Wildcard stage.
The champion team’s journey on the ESN National Championship 2023
The open-for-all tournament started with a qualifier round and then 586 teams made their way to the second round. Being one of the two invited teams, Team Lilgun joined the playoffs stage directly along with GEUD Gaming. The playoff stage battle started in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals.
A sweep victory by 2-0 helped the team to join the next stage. Scoring the same scoreline, another victory went to Lilgun’s pocket in the upper-bracket semi. The team, then, met the runner-up Last Chance in the Upper Bracket Final. As part of their unstoppable reign, Lilgun again picked a win and moved to the grand finals.
Losing the upper-bracket final cost the runner-up to join the final in the lower bracket. The team faced GEUD Gaming and a 3-0 scoreline in the match stopped the run of GEUD. Last Chance moved to the grand final to meet Team Lilgun again.
But, the story reminded the same with a few twists in the game. The first four rounds went equal for both teams as the scoreline was 2-2. But, Team Lilgun appeared furious in the final two rounds, and despite trying their best, Last Chance could not stop the team. Winning the game by 4-2 has made Team Lilgun the champion of the ESN National Championship 2023.
Team Lilgun took the biggest chunk of the Prize Pool home
The event featured a total of ₮35,000,000 (almost $10,200) as the prize pool. The allocation for each team after the end of the event is as follows.
