The North American PUBG Mobile pro scene witnessed another pro league come to an end. The PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) North America Spring 2022 ended with XSET being the crowned champion. With 218 points and 3 chicken dinners in their bag, the team sits on the throne of pro league NA. Sitting 11 points behind, Nova Esports NA became the runner-up while the third place went to The Chosen team.
PMPL North America Spring 2022: XSET’s path to victory
The entire event was all about XSET’s supremacy. The team started the finals being in the top of the table and maintained their position till the last day. The rest of the teams fought for the next positions. WallStreetBets finished the initial day being second while regular-season champion Knights came up third. Runner-up Nova was in the top five.
Nova came up as second the next day. Knights faced a major setback and went out of the top five. The Chosen remained in the seventh position. As the tournament forwarded, The Chosen managed to climb to the top three and Nova became the runner-up.
Participants received a fair share of the prize money
Being the champion, XSET bagged a handsome amount of $19,000. The runner-up, Nova Esports NA gathered a total of $13,000 after the end of the event, while the third-placed team The Chosen grabbed $10,000. Koops from Team Knights became the MVP of the finals and was awarded an additional $1,000.
Before the finals, 20 teams joined the event for being the champion of North America. After three regular weeks and super weekends, the top 16 advanced to the grand finals. Finally, the top 5 teams on the point table qualified for the regional championship, the PMPL Americas Championship Spring 2022.
