YouTuber CarryMinati becomes a minority stakeholder in esports firm Big Bang Esports

The ecosystem of Esports in India is growing in size and developing at an exponential rate every single day. The industry has recently seen the entry of several major investors, which has helped to strengthen the overall esports business more than it ever has before. Recently, well-known YouTuber Ajey Nagar, also known as CarryMinati, and his partner in business, Deepak Char, acquired a minority stake in the Mumbai-based esports company, Big Bang Esports Private Limited. The duo now owns a 10% stake in the esports division of Big Bang Media Ventures.

Big Bang Esports Private Limited was founded by Madhu Mantena, a film producer, and Ravneet Gill, a former banker. CarryMinati, on the other hand, is a familiar and well-known face among the people who are a part of the Indian Gaming Community. CarryMinati is often seen streaming several games on his stream channel on YouTube. CarryMinati was a notable PUBG Mobile streamer before it got banned by the Indian government.

Sharing comments on this matter, CarryMinati said, “I am pleased to join the family of Big Bang Esports Pvt. Ltd. and become a stakeholder along with my business partner. India is one of the fastest-growing esports markets in the world. The growth of esports in India has been phenomenal in recent years, and this boom will only gain momentum with more vigor and pace in the coming few years. Esports has held a significant influence in my career trajectory and hence this partnership is a natural fit.

His business partner, Deepak Char added, India will emerge as one of the leading gaming capitals of the world in the near future, given that the government has now recognized gaming as a sport and this partnership will open doorways for many exciting developments to occur in the e-sports arena. The development of esports is a movement and needs the support of all stakeholders from the community to make it a success.

International Esports Federation (IESF), the governing body for esports globally, recently announced that it will be working together with Big Bang Esports to hold the first-ever Asia Open Esports Championship. Around forty countries across Asia and the Middle East are expected to take part in the championship, which will get started in the month of February. In addition, Big Bang Media Ventures Pvt. Ltd already owns a large number of other companies that are involved in the entertainment industry under them.
