The biggest competition of the year for Brawl Stars, the 2022 Brawl Stars World Finals just concluded in Disneyland Paris. In a unique turn of events, ZETA DIVISION took both first and second place in the tournament, being the unbeaten world champions for the third time in a row. A total of sixteen teams from all around the world took part in this event. ZETA DIVISION ZERO beat ZETA DIVISION ONE in the Brawl Stars World Grand Finals 2022 to become the champions of the world. Previously, Reconic Esports replaced the tournament favorite Nova Esports as they were not able to travel for the offline event.
ZETA DIVISION ZERO showed a dominating performance throughout the tournament
Both ZETA DIVISION ONE and ZETA DIVISION ZERO qualified for the Brawl Stars World Finals 2022 by being the #1 and #2 seeds from the East Asia Qualifiers. The tournament was held in a single elimination bracket so each team only had no scope to lose any match.
ZETA DIVISION ZERO and ZETA DIVISION ONE both started the tournament in a beautiful manner as they both beat Chasmac Gaming BR and Chasmac Gaming EU with scores of 3-2 and 3-1 respectively. ZETA DIVISION ONE beat Totem Esports and STMN Esports with a dominating score of 3-1 in both Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals.
ZETA DIVISION ZERO also qualified for the Grand Finals in a dominating fashion as they beat Tribe Gaming EU and Tribe Gaming in the Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals respectively with a scoreline of 3-1 as well. Both of the teams showed extraordinary performance throughout the tournament and made their way into the final pretty easily.
The final however was not up to my expectations. Fans were speculating about a very intense battle between the two giants, judging from their performance throughout the game. ZETA DIVISION ZERO easily beat ZETA DIVISION ONE with a scoreline of 4-1 in the Finals and got crowned as the world champions.
