Berry, a recent addition to Brawl Stars was announced during the July 2024 Brawl Talk. He has made his debut just recently. “Working at Mandy’s Candy Shop, what could go wrong? EVERYTHING! New Brawler: Berry
Berry belongs to the Epic Brawler rarity. Players can obtain him from the shop for around 16$ USD as a pack which includes:

Berry has low health, high damage output, and consistent healing. To compensate for these great attributes, he has been granted a slow reload speed. He is a thrower similar to Dynamike and Barley with an AoE (Area of Effect) attack.

Berry’s Attack: Meltdown
Berry’s regular attack is “Meltdown“. Berry lobs an ice cream cone over walls that deals damage and creates a melted ice cream puddle where it lands for 6 seconds, dealing damage to enemies who are splashed and standing in the Area of Effect radius.
Just like Barley’s bottles, Berry’s ice creams deal Damage-over-Time (DoT) to enemies. One key difference is that Berry’s ice-cream puddles don’t stack, and do only one tick of damage, unlike Barley, whose bottles stack up damage when you throw more of them in quick succession.
A special trait that Berry has, is his attacks heal himself and his allies when they stand on it. The healing amount is about 50% of the damage done to enemies with Berry’s Meltdown attacks.
Berry’s Super: Sweet Swirl
Berry’s Super is “Sweet Swirl“. Using this, Berry spins forward, dealing high damage to enemies he hits, healing allies he hits, and creating ice cream puddles following the Super’s path. Sweet Swirl’s ice-cream puddles follow a similar pattern to his Meltdown basic attacks. Berry cannot use Sweet Swirl to dash over walls or water, and if a stun or knock-back effect hits him while in his Super animation, it is canceled.
Tips for using Berry’s Super
- Never use it near walls and water: Sweet Swirl cannot help Berry crash through walls or water, so it is best to make sure you are not near a wall or water when you use it.
- Aim a little bit towards either side of the enemy: Berry’s Super spreads his ice-cream puddles in a straight line. During a fight, it is better to aim slightly towards either side of the enemy because this way even if they try to run, they will find themselves in the puddle’s radius due to its hitbox.

Gadgets
Friendship Is Great
Berry’s first Gadget is “Friendship Is Great“. Using this gadget, Berry swipes his tail, knocking back enemies and healing nearby allies for 1000 health, simultaneously. Pairing this gadget with Barley’s Super can work wonders in a fight.
Healthy Additives
Berry’s second gadget is “Healthy Additives“. Activating this Gadget allows Berry’s next attack to stay on the ground for 12 seconds. A Gadget symbol will glow above Berry’s head signaling this Gadget’s activation, as well as a glowing attack joystick. Healthy Additives’ cooldown begins after using the attack.
Star Power
Floor Is Fine
Using this Star Power, Berry gains a 50% increased reload speed when standing on his melted ice cream. Because of his increased reload speed, this Star Power can be the primary choice in game modes like Showdown.
Making A Mess
Using this Star Power, Berry’s main attack gains 20% extra damage on impact when painting an unpainted area. In an area that’s free of Berry’s ice-cream puddles, this Star Power increases the damage of the first tick of his main attack.
Best Gears for Berry in Brawl Stars
- Shield Gear: Shield Gear grants Berry an extra 900 Health as a consumable shield. This shield regenerates in 10 seconds, when at full health. It provides Berry with some very valuable survivability.
- Damage Gear: The Damage gear helps Berry deal an extra 15% damage when he is below 50% Health. This can help you out in high-pressure situations where you’re in low health and you need to take down the enemy.
- Gadget Charge Gear: Gadget charge increases the charge of Berry’s gadgets by 1. This can help him use his gadgets 1 additional time. Paired with a gadget like Friendship Is Great, this gear becomes well-suited for Berry.
