Brawl Stars is a top-down, fast-paced multiplayer game for mobile. It is published by Supercell, a Finland-based video game company. The game was first released for download globally in December 2018. In Brawl Stars, players can choose a name for themselves. However, sometimes you might want to change it to something more creative that you like. In this article, you’ll learn how you can change your in-game name in Brawl Stars multiple times.
Steps to change your Brawl Stars in-game name
In Brawl Stars, once you choose an In-Game Name (ign), you can change it whenever you want, for the first time, for free. There are no charges of any kind whatsoever. No currency is required, neither free nor premium, for a first-time name change. When you want to change your in-game name, you can do so with the help of the following steps:
Step 1: Log in to the game, and click on your profile icon on your player name, where your player name is displayed. Click on the gear icon on the top left of the name
Step 2: Depending on your attempt, you can change the name for free for the first time, and pay gems for changing it subsequently, each time.
How to change your name more than once in Brawl Stars (with Gems)
Maybe you didn’t like your first name change, and you want to change it for a second time. Can you do it? Of course, you can. In the game, you can change your name as much as you want, but after the first time, charges do apply for a name change.
It costs 30 Gems (the game’s premium currency) more each time, to change your ign after the first time. Free currency like Gold and Bling cannot be used for a name change. Here is how the charges work:
- First Name Change: FREE.
- Second Name Change: 30 gems.
- Third Name Change: 60 gems
By following the above steps, you can easily change your name whenever you feel like it. The gem cost after the first name change increases by 30 gems per try. If you try to change your name 5 times after the first time, the cost to change your name will be 150 gems. Therefore it is better to choose the name you like in the first few tries, as the gems can quickly pile up if you keep changing the name again and again.
