Brawl Stars Juju Guide: Attacks, Star Power, Gadgets, Gears and more

Master Juju with these easy steps!

Juju, a mythic brawler, is the newest addition to the Brawl Stars roster. This artillery-type brawler was introduced to the game on November 7, 2024, and can be unlocked through the Starr Road for 349 Gems or 950 Credits. In this guide, we will break down Juju’s special attacks, gadgets, star powers, and gears, and share helpful tips and tricks to help you master her in Brawl Stars.

New Brawler: Juju

  • Rarity: Mythic
  • Class: Artillery
  • Health at level 11: 6000
  • Damage at level 11: Attack (2000)
  • Gris-Gris Super at level 11: Damage (1600) Health (7200)

Juju is currently kind of broken in the game, with a base damage of 10003000 HP, and a normal reload speed and range. Her ability to throw projectiles that are empowered by the environment she is standing in makes her so strong, giving the projectiles different properties.

For instance, if you throw projectiles while standing on the ground, her damage increases; if you attack while hiding on grass, her range increases; and if you are on water, her attacks have a slowing effect on your enemies.

Brawl Stars Juju Guide: Abilities Breakdown

Juju’s Passive/Trait

Juju has a unique trait that allows her to move across water, but she doesn’t have a hypercharge ability yet.

Juju’s Attack: Elemental Energy

Juju’s main attack, known as Elemental Energy, is a ranged attack influenced by her position, as I have already mentioned. When you attack from water, she slows enemies for four seconds.

If you attack from grass, her range increases, though it also increases the travel time of the attack. Her main attack damage increases from 1600 to 2000 when you attack from the ground.

Juju’s Super: From the Other Side

Her Super, From the Other Side, is a summoning ability that summons Gris-Gris, her voodoo doll, into a fight, similar to how Nita summons the spirit of the Big Boy Bear. Gris-Gris will follow Juju if no enemy is nearby, and starts throwing damaging needles once they are within range.

These needles not only do a lot of damage but also slow down the enemy, making it very annoying to counter. As mentioned already, the voodoo doll has 7200 HP at lv11, which is even more than Juju herself, and it can move through the water just like Juju.

Tips for using Juju’s Super

  • Take Advantage of Water: Try to stay on the water as much as possible, as that four-second slowdown it causes is very irritating for enemies. Plus, by attacking from water, you will be safe from the close-ranged and tanky brawlers, giving you a tactical advantage over them.
  • Use Gris-Gris as a meat shield: With its impressive HP, Gris-Gris can take sufficient damage, so make to take advantage of it. Position your voodoo doll strategically to protect yourself and it can also be a great distraction. Additionally, it also provides extra firepower to overpower your enemy.
  • Spam her Elemental Energy Attack: The key is to spam her attack as much as possible while taking advantage of the environment. You can hide in the grass for long-range attacks, or use the ground to increase your attack damage.

Brawl Stars Juju Guide: Gadgets and Star Power

Gadget

When activated Juju’s next main attack uses the power of all three elements, granting increased range, higher damage, and a four-second slowdown effect, regardless of your position.

Elementalist

When you use this gadget, Juju gains a temporary buff based on the environment she is standing on. Here are the buffs:

  • Earth: Damage reduction
  • Grass: Invisibility
  • Water: Increased movement speed

Star Power

Gris-Gris’ attack now also slows the enemy for one second, similar to Juju’s main attack when used from water.

Best Game Modes for Juju

Juju, as a thrower, is very annoying to deal with due to her terrain-based primary attack. She does more damage on ground, increases attack range in grass, and slowing effect in water. With her decent reload speed and her Super, she excels in various modes, provided they have water and grass. Here are Juju’s best game modes:

  • Bounty: Juju is very effective in Bounty mode, especially on maps with lots of grass and water. You can spam your primary attack from grass, maintaining a safe distance while charging your Super quickly, only five hits are needed. Plus, her slow effect can really annoy enemy Brawlers.
  • Knockout: You can use Juju in Knockout mode, as most of the maps have water areas. You can swap between bushes and water for both ranged and slow-effect attacks.
  • Hotzone: She also shines in Hotzone mode, as you can harass Enemy Brawlers from a distance without pushing forward. You can enjoy passive play but stay safe from Assassins. On certain maps, you can just camp in water and spam those slow-effect attacks.
  • Duels: She is a solid pick in Duels too, especially in water-based maps, as her slow effect is really annoying to deal with.
  • Gem Grab: Juju is a good pick for even Gem Grab, as long as the map is not too open.

Best Brawlers Combination with Juju

Juju is currently one of the strongest throwers in the game, thanks to her versatile elemental attacks and her Super. However, she struggles against aggressive Assassins, making it essential to pair her with good support, like Gray, allowing you to escape from Enemies with his Super or even Shade, who can distract enemies. Mortis is great at eliminating enemies with Juju’s support. Eve can provide sufficient damage, and like Shade, she can distract enemies with her Super, keeping them away from Juju.

Best Gears for Juju in Brawl Stars

Gadget Charge Gear

Since Juju’s gadgets are quite powerful, the Gadget Charge gear is a nice addition to her build, as it increases the number of Gadget uses per battle by 1. This gives you more opportunities to turn the tide of the matches with your Voodoo Child and Elementalist gadget.

Health Gear

Given that Juju’s HP at lv11 is just 6000, Health Gear is very useful, as it allows you to recover HP 50% more effectively during battles. You can take advantage of this and combine it with your Super, to survive longer in battles and maintain your dominance in your battles.

Shield Gear

As Juju is an artillery-type brawler, the Shield Gear is very useful as provides an additional 900 HP as a consumable shield. This is very effective against close-ranged and tanky enemies, giving you the chance to reposition, especially when your Super is on cooldown.

The consumable shield regenerates in 10 seconds when you are at full health, giving you more time to partake in the fight.
