Kenji is an assassin type with a unique trait that allows him to heal with every bit of damage he does. Kenji’s Passive/Trait

Kenji regains health with every attack that damages enemies.

Kenji’s Attack: Dash ‘n’ Slash

Kenji’s main attack, Dash ‘n Slash, alternates between two distinct moves. The first is a quick dash, much like Mortis’ attack, followed by a wide-reaching slash, similar to Bibi’s swing. The twist is that the dash deals only half the damage of the slash, adding a unique element to his play style.

Kenji’s Super: Slashimi

Kenji’s Super, Slashimi, has him toss a fish into the air and slice through it with two massive slashes in an X-shape. Anything caught in the path takes damage, while targets at the center of the X take double damage. Once Kenji throws the fish, he becomes untargetable until the Super finishes, and he can even use it through walls.

Tips for using Kenji’s Super

• Aim for the Center: Try to position enemies at the center of the X for double damage. It’s especially useful against grouped opponents or tankier Brawlers.
• Use for Evasion: Since Kenji becomes untargetable during the Super, use it to dodge enemy attacks or escape dangerous situations.
• Take Advantage of Walls: You can use Slashimi through walls, so don’t be afraid to trigger it from a safe position to surprise enemies or catch them off guard.

Gadget

Dashi Dash

When activated Kenji will only dash with his main attack dash for the next 3s.

Hosomaki Healing

When used Kenji instantly recovers 75% of the damage Kenji has received over the last 3s.

Star Power

Studied the Blade

This Star Power increases the range of both slashes from his Super by a whopping 30%.

Nigiri Nemesis

After avoiding damage for 5 seconds, Kenji gets a 90% damage reduction from the next enemy attack.

Best Gears for Kenji in Brawl Stars

Damage Gear

Since Kenji’s Super deals significant damage, the Damage Gear can amplify his output, especially when hitting enemies at the center of the X. It also boosts his alternating attacks, making both the dash and slash more effective.

Speed Gear

Increased speed in bushes will help Kenji move quickly between targets or evade attacks, allowing him to reposition and execute hit-and-run tactics more efficiently.

Shield Gear

As Kenji needs to get close to deal damage, the Shield Gear provides extra survivability when initiating combat or when his Super is on cooldown, especially when dashing in.
