Clash of Clans is here with yet another season, which kicks off in October 2024 with the exciting Clash Halloween theme. With each new season comes exciting events, and this time, Clash of Clans has introduced its first challenge of the month, titled the Doom and Gloom in Clash of Clans to beat. If you’re reading this article, you’re in the right place to learn how to secure those three stars with your attack.
Introducing the Doom and Gloom Challenge in Clash of Clans
This challenge is seemingly pretty easy, although the base makes it look like it is a hard nut to crack. With clusters of defenses being active in this challenge alongside heavy heroes for what seems to be a very average troop combination in hand.
The rewards will be distributed like in previous challenges, with the team continuing their usual approach. There don’t seem to be any plans to change this anytime soon, as the makers have been repeatedly lazy. You will receive extra resources along with 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1x Power Potion.
How to beat the Doom and Gloom Challenge in Clash of Clans
Before beginning the attack, make sure to set your Grand Warden to air mode. Start by deploying barbarians evenly around the level one cannon on the far right side of the base. This will trigger all the Hidden Tesla traps. Place your Flame Flinger far right, just behind the green line of slime, to ensure it outranges the Tesla and targets the Clan Castle.
To deal with the Clan Castle troops, drop a Skeleton Spell on top of it to eliminate them without luring them out. Next, deploy your Super Archers in line with the first layer of Eagle Artillery at the bottom side of the base, spacing them between each mashup madness decoration. Their long-range attacks will help in taking down the Eagle Artilleries and will also deal damage to the Scattershots near the Inferno Towers.
Now, time to introduce your Warden, so place him in line with the single-target Inferno. Diggy, your hero companion, will stun the Inferno, allowing your Warden to take it down and continue to destroy the multi-target Infernos. Save the Warden’s ability until the central Inferno becomes the target, as this will weaken the surrounding Infernos for an easier takedown.
When approaching the remaining Eagle Artillery section, use an Ice Golem, then place your King and Queen in line with the Scattershots. Activate the Queen’s ability to weaken the Scattershots and the King’s ability once he breaks through the wall and a Druid behind them. To take down the Town Hall, send a Sneaky Goblin to activate the Invisibility Spell Tower.
After the invisibility wears off, send in the rest of your sneaky goblins to take down the Town Hall. Use Freeze Spells to assist your heroes, especially when defending heroes’ attacks, and consider using an Invisibility Spell on your Archer Queen if necessary. Finally, deploy your Bat Spells evenly across the X-Bows, since they are ground set, Bats will easily take them out.
Alongside them, deploy minions on the Invisibility Spell Tower. Once the Tesla and X-Bows are down, spread the remaining bats across any leftover hero platforms. Rocket Balloons can help the bats by taking out the remaining defenses. That should be it, this strategy should earn you a clean three-star victory.
